January 18th 2009, Pro Staffers, Mark, Matt, Joe Goose, Brett, our friend Zach and Drake the Lab, headed out to a cut corn field near Old Monroe, MO. With the rivers and ponds frozen solid, the geese have been hitting the fields pretty hard in the area. We saw a good number of geese this hunt, the Tru-Tone goose calls were exactly what we needed to lure several groups into our set-up. As with most birds late season, most groups were too timid to lock in and give us the right opportunity. Nevertheless, we hung tight, changed our set up and call patterns and finished the the day with another successful hunt.
