I
was introduced to fishing through a field trip in elementary
school when I was around 8, and I was hooked. I was about 15
when my friend Chris introduced me to the bow and arrow, going
to the range and shooting and practicing it wasn't long before
I was ready for the real thing. The next year Chris got me into
woods in Montgomery County for my first hunt experience and
it quickly became a passion. I was eager to learn all I could
about the ways of the woods. I enjoy Turkey hunting the most,
the thrill of just you verse one of the toughest animals to
harvest. But, the thrill of a landing a heavy largemouth bass
is unbeatable, of course I love the rivers and fishing for the
Big Blue Cats. I guess you could say, I kind of like it all.
I lost touch with the outdoors in my bachelor days until Heartland
Hunter Pro Staffer Mark put me back in the field, allowing me
to take my first buck, a 6 pointer, an experience that could
be one of my most memorable times in the outdoors. I now dream
of hunting Ducks and Moose in the Canadian Wilderness or fishing
for giant Bass in the famed lakes of Texas. I am proud to be
a Heartland Hunter they are a group of dedicated hunters and
fisherman who not only like to have fun but have made the effort
to devote their time to helping others learn from their experiences.
